Pair of Monumental Italian Neoclassical Trumeau Mirrors – Late 18th Century.

98.5 H x 69 L

This exceptional pair of large-scale Italian trumeau mirrors dates back to the late 18th century, beautifully showcasing the elegance and decorative refinement of the Neoclassical period.

Each trumeau features an architectural frame with a softly patinated pale green and ivory painted finish, enhanced by finely carved and gilded moldings, floral rosettes, and delicate swag motifs.

The upper panels are particularly striking, displaying hand-painted floral compositions, exotic birds, and classical medallions against a warm, pale background. This delicate polychrome decoration creates a beautiful contrast with the restrained architectural geometry of the surrounding frames.

The lower sections incorporate rectangular mirror plates

Rich in decorative detail yet remarkably balanced in composition, these trumeaux embody the sophistication of late 18th-century Italian interiors.
